Mariposite & Sterling | Earrings
Silversmith earrings handmade, by me, in my Florida studio. To make these earrings, I started with fine (pure) silver, for the bezel around the stone, and solid sterling silver in various forms for the rest of the elements.

For the backplate of the Mariposa stones, I used sterling silver that I impressed a botanical pattern onto and accented the setting with leaves that I forged from the melted ends of sterling wire.

~~~The ear wires are 20g sterling silver to which I added a leaf detail.
~~~The earrings measure 2 1/2” from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the dangle, and 1/2" wide.
~~~Each earring weighs approximately 6.1 grams
