Dendritic Agate Earrings in a Contemporary Sterling Silver Setting
Contemporary white and black stone earrings handcrafted, by me in my Florida studio, from solid sterling silver and Dendritic Agate stones.
~~~The ear wires are 20g sterling silver to which I added a solid sterling silver ball.
~~~The earrings measure 2 1/8" long from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the dangle and 3/4" wide.
~~~Each earring weighs approximately 5.4 grams
To make these earrings, I started with sheet sterling silver and wire. I made a bezel cup setting for the teardrop-shaped Dendritic Agate stones, added a small bead wire accent, and selectively saw-cut out the backplate to show the back of the stones. They have a subtle glow as the light hits them due to the slight transparent nature of the stones.
