Turquoise Bird Earrings with Azurite
The patterning on the matched-pair pear-shaped Azurite stones suggested a dense leafy tree to me. I set tiny sterling birds atop the stones and paired the Azurite with Kingman Turquoise stud posts.
The birds are hand saw-cut from a sheet of solid sterling silver. All the pieces and parts of this design are also solid sterling silver. I started with sheet and wire and hand-fabricated the bezel cups for the stones, and all the design elements, including adding a pretty botanical pattern to the back of the stone areas.
Measures 2 1/4" from the top of the Turquoise Stud to the bottom of the dangle.
Width of the dangle is 3/4".
