Artisan metalsmith jewelry individually handcrafted by Tampa, Florida silversmith Linda P Smith from sterling silver, copper and glass enamel. Her current collections of rings, earrings and necklaces have bird, flower and organic themes.

Extra Large Solid Copper Hair Clip Black Patina Botanical Design

Extra-large solid copper hair clip perfect for thick hair ponytails. I've added a botanical star embossed pattern to the copper, securely hand-riveted it to the clip (no glue to fail) then finished with black patina and polished highlights so the design 'pops'. The last step is two coats of special varnish for metal to protect the color.

Measures 4 1/8" wide and 1 1/2” high.

This shape/design features a different french clip than my other styles because the original french factory closed due to Covid. This new clip is also made in France and is very sturdy with just two hinged pieces. It is also larger than a standard ponytail size and perfect for either those with lots of thick hair or bun-type hairstyles.

Polished and waxed. Although the wax will slow the process, this barrette will develop additional patina over time.

Each barrette is handcrafted. Every effort is made to reproduce exactly, but do expect slight variances.
