Charoite Earrings, Silversmith Made with Hand Fabricated Flowers and Leaves
Handcrafted flower earrings with bezel set Charoite gemstone dangles. To create the flower, I started by melting scraps of sterling silver to form a ball/blob. I hammered the blob into a flower-shaped mold then sanded the back smooth. I handmade a bezel setting for the stones, the backplate of the bezel is made from reticulated sterling silver with a wonderful organic texture. Also on the back, I soldered a handmade leaf--the earrings are pretty from the front and back so look great with any hair length, short or long.
On the front, below the flower is a tiny leaf accent that I forged from the melted end of sterling silver wire. A third leaf accents the sterling silver ear wires.
Earrings measure 1 3/4" from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the dangle and 3/4" wide.
