Sterling Silver Owl Earrings with Picasso Jasper
The patterns on the mirror-image Picasso Jasper stones had me imagining an owl hanging out on a tree branch.. at night.. by the light of a full moon.
The owls are hand saw-cut from a sheet of solid sterling silver. All the pieces and parts of this design are also solid sterling silver. I started with sheet and wire and hand-fabricated the ear wires, bezel cups for the stones, and all the design elements, including adding a pretty botanical pattern to the back of the stone area.
The ear wires are sterling silver and feature solid pure silver balls to represent the full moon of my vision.
Measures 2 3/4" from the top of the ear-wire to the bottom of the dangle.
Width of the dangle is 5/8".
