Crazy Lace Agate Earrings with Solid Sterling Silver Flower Stud Posts

Sterling & Agate | Earrings
As it often does for me, the patterning on these Crazy Lace Agate stones drove this design for these one-of-a-kind earrings. To complement, and echo, the patterning, I made a special bezel that combines scallops and straight edges. For the stud posts, I made solid sterling silver flowers by hammering a ball of silver into a steel for and soldering on a tiny silver ball center. The backs are pretty too-- they feature a botanical pattern I embossed onto a sheet of sterling silver.

Colors are caramel brown and cream.

~~~The ear posts are 20g sterling silver.
~~~Extra-large sterling silver ear nuts (see photo).
~~~The earrings measure 2 1/8" from the top of the earrings to the bottom of the dangle, 1 7/8" from the stud post to the bottom of the dangle, and 9/16" wide.
~~~Each earring weighs approximately 6.5 grams, and the dangle approximately 5.4 grams.
