The focal of this necklace is a sweet copper and sterling hollow-form bead that I made from sheets of copper & silver. The necklace is reversible with a flower design on both sides.
To make this necklace, I started with sheets of copper and sterling silver. I impressed the pattern on the copper and then cut the shape with a disc cutter. I drill holes in the strip of sterling silver, form a ring, solder it together, then solder the ring between two copper discs.
I added a patina, polished the highlights, and sealed both front and back with jeweler varnish. This will preserve the nice contrast with the patina and polished area as well as protect your skin.
The focal bead measures 1/2" in diameter and is 3/16" deep.
The sterling silver chain measures 15 1/2", plus an integral extender, for a maximum length of 18.5".
This is a handcrafted item and you will receive the exact necklace pictured.
