Sterling & Stone | Earrings
The translucent Aqua Chalcedony stones had me thinking of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico beaches here in Florida and I knew I needed to make a scene with shore birds.

I hand saw-cut the birds from sterling silver and soldered them onto the backing that I textured with course sandpaper, along with teeny tiny balls of solid sterling silver for some 'rocks'. I saw cut out the back of the stone setting to allow light through, which makes the patterns within the stone 'pop'.

Measures 1 5/8" long from the top of the sterling silver ear wires to the bottom of the dangle and 9/16" wide.
