Translucent Dendritic Agate Earrings with Solid Sterling Silver Flower Studs
Unique botanical-inspired sterling silver earrings hand-fabricated by me in my Florida studio. To make the flowers, I first melted scrap bits of silver to form a ball, then hammered the silver into a flower mold. The final step was to saw out the flower impression and polish the edges and reverse.
The dendritic agate stones have a yellowish tint with chocolate brown dendrites, and they are translucent. I saw-cut out the reverse of the bezel setting to allow the the light in to really highlight the beautiful patterning.
~~~The ear posts are 20g sterling silver, and large sterling silver ear nuts are included.
~~~The earrings measure 1-11/16" long from the top of the stud post to the bottom of the dangle and 1-13/16" overall.
~~~ The agate dangle is 3/8" wide.
~~~The flower studs are solid sterling silver and measure about 1/2" in diameter.
~~~Each earring weighs approximately 4.2 grams, and the dangle approximately 1.7 grams.
