Patterned copper leaf-shaped earrings that dangle from a sterling silver wire. I patterned the copper by running it through my rolling mill along with a pattern plate. The patterns are similar, but different, for the left and right sides and the leaf shapes are mirror images. I've added a further dimension to the leaves by curling them- again in mirror image.
The ear wire was fabricated from sterling wire that I melted the end of- this forms a ball. The ball was then flattened, smoothed and soldered to the front of the copper leaf. To highlight the pattern, I patina'd the earrings, then polished up the high points. I've added a coating of wax to slow natural patina from forming.
Measures 1 1/4" from top of the ear wire to the bottom of the dangle.
Measures 11/16" wide
